Dua when breaking the fast
ذَهَبَ الظَّمَأُ وَابْتَلَّتِ الْعُرُوقُ وَثَبَتَ الأَجْرُ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ
Dhahaba al-zama’u wabtallatil-‘uruqu wa thabatal-ajru in sha’ Allah. “Thirst has gone, the arteries are moist, and the reward is sure, if Allah wills.” Ibn ‘Umar reported that the Prophet ﷺ said this when he broke his fast. Sunan Abu Dawud 2357, graded hasan by al-Albani; Arabic and English as given on Sunnah.com.
About Ramadan times
When does sehri end?
Sehri (suhoor) must be finished before Fajr begins, at true dawn. The timetable shows the Fajr time for each day of Ramadan.
When is iftar?
At Maghrib, as soon as the sun has set. The Prophet ﷺ said that people remain upon good as long as they hasten to break the fast (Sahih al-Bukhari 1957).
Why might Ramadan start on a different day in my country?
These dates follow the Umm al-Qura calendar. Many countries start Ramadan after sighting the new moon, so the first fast and Eid may be a day earlier or later.
When is Laylat al-Qadr?
In the odd nights of the last ten nights of Ramadan, as the Prophet ﷺ said (Sahih al-Bukhari 2017). The nights begin at sunset the evening before each date.
