    Can I listen to the Quran while I browse the site?

    Yes. The player at the bottom of every page keeps reciting, surah after surah, as you move between pages. It pauses on its own when you play a video and continues when the video stops. You can pause it at any time, and it remembers your choice.

    Why does the recitation start only after I tap?

    Browsers do not let any website play sound until you interact with the page. Your first tap or click starts the recitation.

    How does the Daily Quran plan work?

    Choose one juz a day to finish the Quran in 30 days, or one hizb a day to finish in 60 days. Today’s portion plays verse by verse with the Arabic text and an English translation, and it is marked as done when you finish. Your progress is saved on this device; no account is needed.

    Can I read or hear the meaning in my language?

    Yes. Under every verse the reader shows English and Roman Urdu, and you can add Urdu and one more language: Hindi, Bangla, Indonesian, Malay, Turkish, Persian, French, German, Spanish, Russian, Pashto, Sindhi, Tamil, Swahili, Hausa, Somali, Chinese and more. You can also hear the meaning spoken after each verse in Urdu, English, French, Russian, Chinese or Uzbek. These are published translations; we never write our own.

    Which text and translations do you use?

    The Arabic is the Uthmani script from the Tanzil project. English: Saheeh International. Roman Urdu: Abul A’la Maududi (from Quran.com). Urdu: Fateh Muhammad Jalandhry. We show published translations only and never write our own.

    Who are the reciters?

    Mishary Rashid Alafasy, Abdul Basit Abdul Samad, Abdur-Rahman as-Sudais, Mahmoud Khalil al-Husary, Muhammad Siddiq al-Minshawi and Abu Bakr al-Shatri. Full surahs stream from QuranicAudio, the audio library used by Quran.com.
